Lyxtelegram
....var förr vanliga vid till exempel
stora födelsedagar, bröllop och liknande.
Hälsningen kunde man ringa in
och så valde man ut en lyxtelegramblankett.
De fanns avbildade på telefonkatalogens insida
och det fanns ett tjugotal motiv att välja bland.
I städerna bars telegrammet sen ut
av särskilda telegrambud.
1977 upphörde Televerket
med verksamheten.
Här några äldre telegrambilder (ca 1940-tal).

Luxury telegrams....

.... used to be common for big birthdays, weddings etc.
An operator took your message by phone.
You chosed a form among the about twenty motifs
on the inside of the telephone directory´s cover.
In urban areas the telegram was carried out by a special bid.
The activity ceased in 1977.
Here some older telegram pictures (around 1940 or so).

Samhällsinfo

Några roliga vinjetter
för Post och Sjukvård
från början av 1900-talet.
Och så några sedelärande
enkelt utformade
teser
för att lära ut viktig
samhällsinfo
till det yngre släktet.
Den sista bilden om
industrins ökning
tog jag framförallt med
för att den visade
den tidens vackra sedlar.

Society Info

Some vignettes
for the Post and for the Health Care
from the beginning of 1900s.
Then some moral theses
which in simple text
teach the young generation
´bout the society.
(Like:" When you steal, you will be arrested,
and then you will be tried")
I chosed the last picture
´bout the growing industry
to show the great images
on that time bills.

Bokstäver och Siffror

Vackra siffror och bokstäver på pärmarnas ryggar.
Och så några tabeller
- en veckodagsvisare från 1934
och
tabeller som lär ut nya mätsystemet
när det infördes vid 1800-talets slut.

Letters and Numbers
Beautiful numbers and letter

on the back of the files.
Then a few tables
- one that shows the days of the week
from 1934
and
some that teach the new measuring
that was introduced in Sweden
in the late 1800´s.

Almanackor
... från 1800-talet.
Lika vackra och speciella
på sina framsidor
som på sina insidor.

Calenders
... from the late 19th century.
Equally beautiful and special
on their frontpages
as at their inside pages.

Skolinfo från förra sekelskiftet....

School Information round 1900....
The first image´s text ask boys wich way they would like to chose in life.
The second says: "School. A school is a very useful establishment".
