- with a typical frame in Art Noveau style.

Kokböcker II

Som sagt:
Jag älskar gamla kokböcker!;-)

De ger inte minst en bit kulturhistoria.
Här  bilder ur en bakbok från ICA
utgiven just när andra världskriget bröt ut.
Ransoneringar och svårt  få tag på t.ex. fett. 

Med boken har man därför bifogat ett häfte

med omvandling av recepten.....

På baksidan av häftet annonserar Marabou

för sin kaffe-ersättning "Mabou"....

Ugn och köksinredning i övrigt
är också intressanta....

I love old cookbooks!;-)

Here some pictures from a cook book for baking

published the same year 

the second  world war started.

A booklet was placed in the book 

with suggestions for what the house wife could use 

instead of some ingredients in the recipes 

that now have started to be hard to get

beacuse of the rationing.

On the back of the booklet was also an ad for 

a new coffe substitut.

Interresting also to study 

the oven and the rest of the kitchen enviroment...

ur en en gamnmal bok

"Handbok i Svenska Trädgårdsskötseln".

Boken var ämnad

både för professionella trädgårdsmästare 

och för andra intresserade.

Utgavs i flera upplagor 

under 1800- och tidigt 1900-tal.

Författare var Lindgren, Phil med flera

från Svensk Trädgårdsföreningen.

Both pictures are
from an old book for gardeners
of all kind
"Guide to the Swedish Gardening".
Aimed for both professional gardeners
and others.
Published in several editions
during the late 19th century
and early 20th.
Authors: Lindgren, Phil and some more
from the Swedish Horticulture Society.

printed in gothic script.

On the inside of the cover 

you could read the name of the owner (noble name).

She made personal notes every day of the year 

about her every day life.
