utgiven 1891.
En älskad pärla i mitt kokboksbibliotek.
Aurora ville råda bot på den "stora brist å mindre kokböcker"
som hon upplevde rådde vid den tiden.
Boken var avsedd att täcka kraven från
"såwäl det "bättre" borgerliga
som det "tarfligare kökets nutida fordringar"
som hon skrev.
Den lilla boken rymmer alla upptänkliga varianter av recept.
Över sexhundra (!) totalt.
Här finns också menyförslag för finare middagar
med upp till sju rätter (!) på menyn.
Intressant läsning.
Men det är också en vacker bok.
Framsidan med den arbetande - tidstypiskt klädda - köksan.
Den gotiska texten inne i boken.
Ja, till och med baksidan är vacker
med boktryckarens speciella lilla vinjett.

A beloved gem in my cookbook library.
Aurora thought there was
a lack of "smaller cookbooks"
at that time.
The book was designed to meet the demands of both
"the" better "bourgeois as the more "humble"
kitchen contemporary claims ", she said.
This little book contains all possible variations
of recipes.
More than six hundred (!) in total.
There are also menu suggestions for fine dinings
with up to seven dishes (!) on the menu.
Interesting reading.
But it is also a beautiful book.

- typically dressed for the time.
The Gothic text inside the book.
Even the back of the book is beautiful
with the book printer´s special little vignette.
